On the occasion of the IV edition of Diplomatic Luncheons, Nexus Fostering Partnership together with Club Financiero Génova organized a luncheon with the Ambassador of Australia in Spain, H.E. Ms. Virginia Greville. The event, which generated great interest, was attended by around thirty companies interested in establishing in the region or with ongoing projects in the mentioned country.
The event began with Honorable Ambassador Ms. Virgina Greville signing the Book of Honor of the Club, who later met with important representatives of the Spanish companies during the cocktail offered to the attendees, previous to the lunch.
Once the businessmen exchanged words with the Ambassador, the CEO of Nexus Mr. Gregorio Cebrián gave an introductory speech on Australia’s current situation, highlighting its great potential.
The representative of Nexus pointed out that Australia is a country with an impressive economic strength that, combined with its political and legal security, has granted the country a strategic position of privilege in Asia. Australia’s GDP per capita has already surpassed that of countries like Germany, Japan, Great Britain or France, as it attracts annually investors from diverse sectors such as Agribusiness, Mining and Resources, Infrastructures and Logistics, Energy and ICT, Health Services, Tourism and Capital Goods, among others.
More than 50 SME’s are already present in Australia, and following Mr. Cebrian’s intervention, the Ambassador mentioned the great array of real opportunities the Australian market offers, encouraging the attendants present to embark on potential investments.
Nexus is currently immersed in the arrangement for the next Diplomatic Luncheon, which will take place on next July 13th and will count on the presence of the Ambassador of Iran, Honorable Mr. Mohammad Hassan Fadaifard. Iran, subject to recently development in the opening of its markets, is a country yet to be explored by Spanish companies, as their presence is still scarcely notable as for today. The Ambassador and his team will present the opportunities and projects that will developed in the region in the short-medium term.
