The 21st Annual of Salón de Gourmets took place last April in Madrid, having Canada as Country of Honor. The Canadian Embassy together with the representatives of Alberta, British Columbia, Québec and New Brunswick provinces, lead a delegation of 20 Canadian companies that participated at the fair as exhibitors.
Nexus was in charge of organizing and coordinating the agenda between the Canadian delegation and the Spanish companies with interest in Canadian gourmet products, such as maple syrup or bison meat. During the three days of fair, around 65 meetings were closed for all 20 Canadian companies with over 50 Spanish companies. All the meetings were arranged according to the preferences and criteria established by the companies. In addition, previous to the fair, Nexus promoted the CETA agreement that has been recently signed to promote commercial relations, to reduce tariff barriers and to improve import-export activities between Canada and Europe, among other advantages.
The success on the arrangement of the agenda for the Canadian delegation during other fairs such as CONXEMAR, as well as other projects developed by Nexus, has made the Canadian Embassy to trust Nexus and count on our support for these activities.
